Whoops

Sorry about the delay in updates things have settled down and life in Okinawa is becoming normal. Josh finally got his license today, so that is super good news. I won’t have to wake up and take him to work in the mornings. woo hoo! There’s not much to update you all on. We finally got curtains for our house, which could break the bank. We had to special order curtains for our living room because it has a large wall of windows, but I’m very pleased with them. We got our queen sized bed that we ordered and we like that a lot too! Lily has been pretty happy here munching away on snails and playing outside, as well as being lazy in the air conditioning with me. We went and ate at a place called “Freshness Burger” the other day that was rather yummy. We both got teriyaki burgers and I got fries with mine. If you’ve heard anything about the portion size here being small, it was definitely right. With the fries it was enough for lunch but Josh was still hungry, so he got a hot dog, which looked rather delicious! After that we went next door to Yogurtland and got some yummy forzen yogurt with strawberries. I’m also going to not recommend trying the “vanilla with salt” frozen yogurt. Just not good to me. Other than that since updating I went and ate at “double decker” with Sandra while the boys were gone to Iwa Kuni. Double Decker is a …double decker bus! It was a really unique atmosphere and the food was great. We both got a form of rice casserole I had the chicken and she had curry. Another notable restaurant experience was Arin Krin or “The Garlic House.” We met some friends there for Steve’s birthday and the food was great. We had gyoza rolls(which we probably won’t order again), garlic pizza, spicy fries, beef with broccoli and fried shrimp. The dishes were amazing, it sounds like a lot but it was perfect, the dishes are pretty small and well priced so that you can order different things to try. We will definitely be taking another trip there. Josh’s experience in the band seems to be getting better, the new band officer has taken over and things seem to be running a bit more smoothly. Thank goodness. Josh also found out that one of his friends from the School of Music will be coming out here next month. Hopefully I or we will remember to update again soon. Hope I’m not writing to myself.
