The see through floor space is actually the remains of the old Shurijo Castle that was destroyed in the war. All that is being toured is just a massive replica.

Yesterday we took a trip to Naha with two of our friends Chris and Joey. Our first stop was Shurijo (commonly just called Shuri) Castle.  The actual castle was ruined in the war to the castle that is toured is a replica. For a lot of the tour you must take off your shoes and place them in a plastic bag to carry. So, remember to wear good socks! It was pretty neat to look at the way things used to be. I was a little disappointed at the scaffolding on the front of it, but maybe we can go back before we leave and it will be repainted or something! Either way it was still a fun/interesting trip.
