The race is on.

The dates that we were given were more or less Okinawa only dates. Those are the earliest we can check in at Okinawa and the latest. The other day we went to the social security office to get my name changed(yes I have slacked off THIS long). Josh and I now have to decide how many days of leave we would like to take before we leave so they can give us a 10 day window of when our flight will be. I guess we might just leave it up to how many days he actually has. I suppose we need to start going through the house and deciding what we should throw away, what we should bring with us, and what should go in storage. That is going to be a fun chore. =(

A new beginning

Many of you know that Josh and I have recently requested to be moved to Okinawa to start a new adventure. Today we received a time frame for when we will be leaving. We will be checking out here from Cherry Point North Carolina on April 29,2010. We will have to check in at Okinawa on May 29,2010, where we will be stationed at Camp Foster for the next three years.We are very excited to do something different and can't wait. Don't get me wrong, we will miss all of our friends and family dearly. Every so often you have to step out of the box and try something new. We will be stationed at Camp Foster for the next three years. I hope that this blog will help all of our family and friends stay informed on how the process is going and how the island is once we get there.
